What is Discover
Local Line Discover is a new feature designed to connect farmers, producers, food hubs, and buyers, making it easier than ever to grow your network and find the right partners. Whether you’re a farm looking to expand your product offerings, a food hub searching for new vendors, or a buyer sourcing fresh, local food, Discover is your go-to tool to find local food.
How to Get Connected to Discover
The new Discover feature can be found under Connections. To get connected, start by creating your Profile.
- Head to Connections -> Profile
- On the Profile page, you can manage your Discover and Wholesale Buyer profiles Your Discover profile allows you to define how you would like to appear in the Discover listings
- The Appear on Discover setting will be automatically turned on for every account. If you do not wish to have your business appear in Discover listings, you can turn this option off
- You can also define whether you are a hub looking to buy or resell products from other vendors, or if you are a vendor looking to sell to local hubs. You can also enable both! In Discover listings, you will then see Hub or Supplier tags, depending on which options you selected. If you have not selected either of them, you will show as Listed
- Add additional information to your profile, such as what you're looking to buy or sell, as well as additional information about your business

- Lastly, you can select relevant Growing Practices and Ownership tags for your profile
- Click Apply, and you're connected!
The Discover Map
Discover helps producers, food hubs and suppliers find each other. Search by business name, region or product to discover businesses near you and collaborate with local suppliers to strengthen your offerings.
The list of the left will show businesses near you listed in alphabetical order, and the filters at the top will help you narrow down the results.
If a business has completed their Discover profile and chosen either or both of the Hub or Supplier options, this will be displayed beside their name in the listings. If they have not chosen one, they will just show as "Listed".
Clicking on a listing card on the left or a map pin will open the details for that business, allowing you to link to their storefront if available, as well as view their contact information and Discover Profile if they have created one. If a business has chosen the Hub or Supplier options, there will be additional buttons to allow you to connect with them to either become a vendor for their hub, or add them as a supplier for your own hub.
Contact to sell
This will open your web browser's configured email client so you can contact the hub and offer your products for sale. The hub would then send you a vendor invite from their account, and once you are connected they will appear in your Hubs table in Connections, and you can start sharing your products with them.
Request Products
Clicking this button will allow you to send an invite to the supplier to connect with you. Once they have accepted the invite, they will appear in your Vendors table in Connections, and any products they share with you will display in your Products list so you can add them to your price lists for sale in your storefront.
